Our elders are those persons in our midst who have been there before us, preparing our way, doing the work that has made our world and community a better place. Many are veterans of the Civil Rights movement and work for human rights locally and around the globe.
We feature their stories here as a way to pay tribute to their work and as a way to learn from their experience. They have much to share with us and to teach us.
Perhaps the greatest tribute we can pay is to acknowledge their place in our history, and to let them share their story with us.
